R50 V2 Collective Servo

1) Mount Servo with servo spline foward.
2) Mount servo ball to inner hole.
3) Align linkage geometry @ 90° to servo horn.

Install the collective servo 180° from the instruction manual, (pg 15 and pg 19) and mount the linkage ball on the inner mounting hole of the collective pitch control arm.

This setup will yield a symmetrical linkage geometry and increase the total pitch range to approximately 22° for an ideal pitch range for 3 dimensional flying.

Or, -11.5° at low collective stick position, 0° at half collective stick position, and +11.5° at full collective stick postion.

Do not be concern with the servo arm placement at 90° to the collective linkage rod at this time. This will be discussed in the collective linkage setup.

Raptor Pitch Gage

1) Bubble Level use for setting up blade incidence for fly bar ratios that are not 1:1. Place another bubble level on the blade root or blade holder to check for blade washout especially on wooden blades.

2) Sight any edge & level to fly bar.

Raptor Pitch Gage

The pitch markings on the side of the frames (pg 19) will be disregarded since we will be setting up the pitch settings based on a linear pitch curve and actual pitch measurements using a pitch guage.

The collective servo installed in the above pictured orientation will provide you with a mechanical setup for a beginner or advance 3D setup.

Changing from beginners to advance setup can easily be accomplished within the radio's programming function, provided the heli is setup mechanically.
