Step 1 - Fuel Tank Assembly
Titan 50
Building By The Manual
2008 Sept 26
Refer to page 5 of the manual for a listing of the required parts and component assembly..
The fuel tank comes pre assembled.
TIP: Lubricate the grommet with isopropyl alcohol to ease in the removal or installation.
Remove the fuel tank nipple and grommet assembly and inspect the inside of the fuel tank for any plastic flashing.
To remove the plastic flashing from the fuel tank, rinse with warm water and then let dry.
Inspect the vent and nipple orifice for any plastic flashing that may obstruct the fuel flow.
The stock internal fuel tank tubing walls are thin and will deteriorate from the nitro. Inspect the internal fuel tubing periodically and note any visible signs of stickyness, flaking, etc.
I recommend you change the internal fuel tubing to a durable substitute. Click here for additional information.
In this build, I connected the silicone tubing to the fuel tank. You can omit this step and install the fuel tubing at the end of the build process.
